On Tuesday 5 September 2017 the NHSCT hosted a visit from members of the Health Improvement Alliance Europe (HIAE). The Trust joined the Alliance in September 2016 under the facilitation of the internationally recognised Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).
MOIC will be one of the partners to carry out the final evaluation of the EC/ACP/WHO programme ‘Strengthening of Pharmaceutical Systems and Improving Access to Quality Essential Medicines’ in Africa.
Frans van Andel and Anita Hogg from MOIC and Rob Brenninkmeijer (Digitalis) facilitated a seminar at the WHO Country Office in Kiev, Ukraine on 7 July 2017.
On March 1st, Dr Frans van Andel, Lead in Internationalisation MOIC, met with a delegation of hospitals in Tbilisi.
MOIC and Digitalis presented STEPSelect in the Czech Republic. A team of MOIC and Digitalis met with a delegation from the Czech Ministry of Health in Prague on February 8.
During a meeting at the Catalan Institute of Health in Barcelona STEPSelect was presented by Digitalis and MOIC.
The MOIC/Digitalis Team met with their counterpart at the Gdansk Medical University to work on the introduction of STEPSelect technology in the Gdansk hospital.
Professor Michael Scott received the UKCPA Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 at the Gala Dinner of the UKCPA Conference at the Hilton Hotel Manchester Airport on 4th November 2016. This prestigious award, now in its ninth year, aims to recognise outstanding contributions to clinical pharmacy practice. The Award was presented to Michael Scott by Ann Page, chair of UKCPA. The UKCPA promotes expert practice in medicines management for the benefit of patients, the public and members by establishing standards, workforce development and advancing innovation in all health care settings.
End of September MOIC and Digitalis presented STEPSelect at the Institute of Rheumatology Belgrade in the context of Pharmaceutical Clinical Effectiveness.
